How to install MagHue on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for MagHue and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.0.0 from kamenlevi's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to MagHue show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: MagHue.zip (733 KB).

What is new in MagHue 1.0.0

First packaged release: the menu bar app plus its helper, built from source that now also compiles on the macOS 27 beta toolchain.

Install with one Terminal line (no Xcode tools, no security dialog):

```
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kamenlevi/MagHue/main/scripts/install.sh | bash
```

Or download MagHue.zip below, drag the app to Applications, and approve it once under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway.

After installing, click the MagSafe icon in the menu bar and press "Install Helper…" (one admin password prompt) so the app can drive the LED.
