About Konechi
A tiny macOS menu bar app that shows whether you are on ethernet or Wi-Fi
How to install Konechi on a Mac
- Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
- Search for Konechi and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.1.4 from piro0919's own GitHub release.
- Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.
Updates to Konechi show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Konechi-0.1.4.dmg (4.4 MB).
What is new in Konechi 0.1.4
### Changed - The update window now follows the Mac's language, so it appears in Japanese on a Japanese Mac. It was always in English before. ### Fixed - Show the connection on IPv6-only networks instead of reporting it as offline. - Read 64-bit interface byte counters so throughput stays correct past 4 GiB. ### Internal - The build verifies the SHA-256 of the Sparkle archive it downloads. - The release script runs the self test, and refuses a dirty working tree, a commit that is not on origin/main, an existing tag, a version the built app does not carry, or a missing changelog section.
