How to install Caffeinator on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Caffeinator and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.0.1 from Pranav435's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Caffeinator show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Caffeinator.zip (841 KB).

What is new in Caffeinator 1.0.1

Download **Caffeinator.zip**, unzip it, and move Caffeinator to Applications.

The app is ad-hoc signed, not notarized, so macOS blocks the first launch. Open it once, then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click **Open Anyway**. Or run:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Caffeinator.app
```
