About Ghostmark

Keep a persistent, fully customizable watermark tiled on your desktop — for screen recording, video calls, and online teaching

How to install Ghostmark on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Ghostmark and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.0.0 from markksantos's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Ghostmark show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Ghostmark.dmg (2.5 MB).

What is new in Ghostmark 1.0.0

First public release.

- Text + icon watermarks, tiled or positioned in any corner/center
- Live `{date}`/`{time}`/`{datetime}`/`{user}`/`{host}` tokens
- Full style control: rotation, opacity, font, color, stroke, shadow, spacing, offset, stagger
- Three window levels (Desktop / Above Windows / Always on Top), every connected display
- Launch at login, menu bar only, zero permissions required

Ad-hoc signed, not notarized — see the README for the `xattr -cr` fix if Gatekeeper calls it "damaged."
