About FreeMic

How to install FreeMic on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for FreeMic and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.0.7 from dy1945's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to FreeMic show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: FreeMic-v0.0.7.zip (1.4 MB).

 Identify apps using the Bluetooth mic, retain the last-use note, and distinguish mic activity from output-only call-quality routing.

 Optional degradation notifications, enabled by default, with permission requested on the first event.
- 🛠 增强 `--list` 诊断，新增 `--watch` 持续监听设备占用变化。

- 🥚 包含 v0.0.6 调整：`Control + K` 开灯固定为最低亮度约 6.25%。
 Includes the v0.0.6 keyboard-light change: toggling on always starts at approximately 6.25% brightness.

默认输入锁定无法阻止应用直接指定蓝牙麦克风；占用提示可帮助定位并调整该应用的麦克风设置。
The default-input lock cannot block apps that open the Bluetooth mic directly; attribution helps locate the app and adjust its mic setting.

`FreeMic-v0.0.7.zip` 包含 Apple Silicon + Intel 通用版 `FreeMic.app`，已通过双架构 release 构建与 ad-hoc 签名校验；未进行本次实机音频回归测试。
Universal Apple Silicon + Intel app, with both release builds and ad-hoc signature verification passed. Live audio regression testing was not performed for this release.

应用采用 ad-hoc 签名，未进行 Apple 公证。首次打开方式见仓库 README。
