What is new in Yahoo! KeyKey 2 2.16.1

Yahoo! KeyKey 2 can now keep working when another app leaves macOS secure input switched on — 1Password often does after your Mac locks — which until now greyed out 倉頡 and every other mode in the input menu until you quit that app. Choose Settings… ▸ General ▸ Install for All Users… once, enter an administrator password, and Yahoo! KeyKey 2 moves to /Library/Input Methods, where macOS keeps it usable.

### Added

- Install for All Users…, in Settings… ▸ General. While any app holds secure input — the mode meant for typing passwords — macOS greys out input methods installed for a single user, and a copy in your own ~/Library/Input Methods is one of them. Installed for all users, in /Library/Input Methods, Yahoo! KeyKey 2 keeps working like Apple's own input methods. It asks for an administrator password once and restarts, keeping your settings and everything it has learned; each later update asks for the password too.

### Changed

- The Homebrew cask now installs for all users, so Homebrew asks for your password. Installed with Homebrew before this release? Run brew reinstall --cask yahoo-keykey-2 to move your copy.
- While another app holds secure input, Yahoo! KeyKey 2 keeps typing but stops learning from what you pick, so nothing typed then is saved. Learning picks up again as soon as secure input is off.
