How to install WallpaperMachine on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for WallpaperMachine and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.3.2 from WallpaperMachine's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to WallpaperMachine show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: WallpaperMachine-1.3.2-arm64.dmg (35 MB).

### English

This release adds playlists, per-display wallpaper history, automatic wallpaper choices and saved multi-display layouts, and keeps the Mission Control picture closer to your actual wallpaper

#### New

- Create reorderable playlists that automatically skip wallpapers that fail to play, within a set limit
- Each display keeps a history of recent wallpapers, and Previous takes you back to the one before
- Choose wallpapers automatically by weekday, solar times, light or dark appearance, and Focus
- Save layouts for multiple displays, copy or swap them between displays, and restore a saved layout
- Use Shortcuts to control playlists, property presets and display layouts
- Scene, Video and Web wallpapers each get their own muted preview
- Experimental: choose a different wallpaper for each desktop Space
- Settings › General adds an option, off by default, to update the Mission Control picture every 5 minutes for wallpapers that change over time

#### Improved

- Mission Control shows a more current wallpaper picture, retaken shortly after a wallpaper starts, changes or resumes, and after Space changes and wake
- Wallpapers you pick yourself now take priority over pending automatic changes
- The app now explains which options cannot be used with the experimental animated lock screen

#### Fixed

- Web wallpapers no longer pause their animation during desktop transitions
