About Vasa

Local-first infinite canvas for macOS — notes, images, links, audio, and video on one board.

How to install Vasa on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Vasa and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.2.3 from timurverevkin's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Vasa show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Vasa-0.2.3-arm64-native.dmg (3.8 MB).

What is new in Vasa 0.2.3

## What's new

- Projects are now single files — easy to send, copy and keep anywhere. Existing projects convert themselves on first launch.
- Drawing has its own toolbar: pen, eraser, color and thickness, all in one place. The brush shows exactly what it will cover.
- Erasing follows the brush closely and stays smooth, and thin lines are easy to grab.
- Groups scale as a whole and keep their proportions, and can be renamed right where they are.
- Checklists were redrawn and now respond when you tick something off.
- Creating a block and opening a project give a soft visual response.
- Heavy boards open faster and fill in as they load.
- Project covers in the sidebar can be flipped through without opening the project.
- Plus a round of fixes in previews, video, images and text editing.

Requires macOS on Apple Silicon.
