How to install Clipy on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Clipy and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.3.0 from Clipy's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Clipy show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Clipy_1.3.0.dmg (15 MB).

What is new in Clipy 1.3.0

This is the first Clipy release in approximately eight years, and it supports macOS 13 Ventura and later 🎉

For more information about the restart of development, please see #590.

To support ongoing development going forward, this release includes an internal database migration. The migration is designed to run automatically as much as possible, but it may fail in some cases. Please export any important data, such as snippets, before updating.
