About Typeflux

Typeflux is a macOS menu bar voice input tool built with Swift. It is designed for a fast "hold to talk, release to insert" workflow: press a hotkey, speak naturally, let the app transcribe your speech, and send the resulting text back into the currently focused app.

How to install Typeflux on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Typeflux and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.4.0 from mylxsw's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Typeflux show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's files are on GitHub: Typeflux-full-apple-silicon.dmg (191 MB), Typeflux-full-intel.dmg (192 MB).
