About Tableau

Put any photo on your macOS desktop as a borderless widget at its true aspect ratio

How to install Tableau on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Tableau and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 2.4.9 from yashashwi-s's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Tableau show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Arras.dmg (4.1 MB).

# Reliable update checks and a clearer menu

Update checks now follow your selected schedule, recover after Mac sleep, and show a live last-checked time. The menu bar groups existing commands under Add, Widgets, and Options.

## Details

- Hourly and other selected check intervals apply with verified automatic installation enabled.
- Arras checks again after the Mac wakes and retries failed checks without excessive requests.
- The last-checked time updates while Settings remains open.
- Existing menu bar commands are grouped under Add, Widgets, and Options.
