How to install SSMV on a Mac

Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
Search for SSMV and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.5.1 from raeseoklee's own GitHub release.
Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to SSMV show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: SSMV-0.5.1.zip (2.7 MB).

What is new in SSMV 0.5.1

## File drag and drop

- Open Markdown files dropped onto the reader, sidebar, or empty window areas through one window-level destination.
- Prevent read-only child views from intercepting file drops.
- Preserve multi-file opening and duplicate selection; ignore directories and unsupported files without moving or editing originals.

Validated with 96 tests, simulated drag delivery through the actual viewer and rendering path, Universal builds, signatures, and cask style. Physical Finder drag verification was unavailable because the test Mac was locked.

**Signing:** Ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID signed or notarized by Apple. After checksum and signature verification, the cask removes quarantine from SSMV.app only; global security settings are unchanged.
