How to install SpotAsk on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for SpotAsk and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.2.7 from shiquda's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to SpotAsk show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's files are on GitHub: SpotAsk-0.2.7-arm64.dmg (11 MB), SpotAsk-0.2.7-x86_64.dmg (11 MB).

**Gemini services, pre-filled official addresses, smoother model discovery**

### Added

- **Gemini** joins OpenAI Compatible and Anthropic as an API Format in Settings > Services, using Google Gemini keys directly without a compatibility gateway.
- A new Service pre-fills official addresses for the selected format and type, and the docs now link to provider key consoles and API references.
- The model selection sheet in Settings > Services uses a native macOS tri-state checkbox that stays synchronized with individual model toggles.
