How to install Speed Reader on a Mac
- Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
- Search for Speed Reader and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.8 from LumingYin's own GitHub release.
- Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.
Updates to Speed Reader show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: SpeedReader.1.8.dmg (3.7 MB).

This release contains the following bug fixes and new features: - Adds the ability to pause and resume speed reading sessions - Preserves punctuation marks when speed reading - Resolved an issue so that font size, transparency and contrast configurations are displayed correctly in the sidebar
