About SlowQuit

A macOS menu bar app that prevents accidental app quits by adding a delay to Cmd-Q.

How to install SlowQuit on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for SlowQuit and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.0.3 from dudukee's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to SlowQuit show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

### Installation Process:

1. After the download is complete, double-click the `.dmg` file to open it.
2. If a security warning appears ("'SlowQuit' cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software."), please follow these steps:
 - Open **System Settings** \> **Privacy & Security**.
 - Scroll down and click the **"Open Anyway"** button to grant permission.

### Completing the Installation:

1. Drag the **SlowQuit** icon into your **Applications** folder.
2. Once installed, you can launch SlowQuit from your Applications folder.
