How to install Realign on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Realign and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.0.1 from hunterphillips's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Realign show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Realign-1.0.1.zip (1001 KB).

What is new in Realign 1.0.1

Realign puts your Mac windows back where you had them.

**Install:** `brew install hunterphillips/tap/realign`, or download `Realign-1.0.1.zip`, unzip, and drag Realign to Applications. Signed and notarized. Requires macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon or Intel.

**Changes since 1.0**
- The download is now a universal binary, so it runs on Intel Macs too
- Fixed a double cleanup when the global shortcut is already taken by another app
- Launch at Login now reports failures, and opens System Settings when macOS asks you to approve it
- `make-dev-cert.sh` works with the OpenSSL that ships with macOS
- README: how to call the command-line binary

SHA-256 `Realign-1.0.1.zip`: `e94e41cab0f1d39a18dcaf48af1ec1891b7238ac1f82f6b810a6e0bc444cb795`
