How to install MyUsage on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for MyUsage and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.18.2 from zchan0's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to MyUsage show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: MyUsage-0.18.2.zip (7.7 MB).

What is new in MyUsage 0.18.2

## v0.18.2 — 2026-09-23

### Fixed
- **Recover saved gateway keys after app updates.** Updating or rebuilding
an ad-hoc signed app can require Keychain authorization again. MyUsage now
distinguishes this from a missing key. Click **Refresh**, or leave the key
empty in **Edit Gateway → Check Usage Access**, and choose **Always Allow**
in the system dialog to restore access without re-entering the API key.
Background refreshes stay silent, and cancelling authorization preserves
the saved key and connection. A later build may require authorization again.

## Install

1. Download `MyUsage-0.18.2.zip` below, unzip.
2. Drag `MyUsage.app` to `/Applications/`.
3. First launch:
 - Either: **right-click → Open** (Gatekeeper will prompt once, then remember).
 - Or in Terminal: `xattr -cr /Applications/MyUsage.app && open /Applications/MyUsage.app`

The app is ad-hoc signed (no Apple Developer certificate). macOS flags
it as "unidentified developer" on first launch — this is expected.

`sha256` checksum is attached for verification.
