How to install MiddleClick on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for MiddleClick and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 3.3.0 from artginzburg's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to MiddleClick show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: MiddleClick.zip (223 KB).

What is new in MiddleClick 3.3.0

**MiddleClick's last meaningful release.** It's finished, not withdrawn: it stays here, stays free, stays GPL-3.0, and `brew install --cask middleclick` keeps working. Nothing removed, no telemetry.

 > With two accounts logged in, the gesture now follows whichever session is active.
 > Closes #127 again: the earlier fix was gated off on macOS 15 and later, on the assumption Apple had fixed the underlying problem. It hadn't.
