About MacCam

Private, offline motion-detecting security camera for macOS. Lives in the menu bar, records HEVC clips on motion. No cloud, no network.

How to install MacCam on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for MacCam and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.1.2 from polyackiy's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to MacCam show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
