How to install Loadout on a Mac
- Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
- Search for Loadout and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.6.2 from migsilva89's own GitHub release.
- Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.
Updates to Loadout show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Loadout-0.6.2.dmg (6.5 MB).
What is new in Loadout 0.6.2
Loadout is a Mac app that shows what your coding assistants load — skills, commands, subagents, plugins and MCP servers — with how often each one actually fires. **Install:** download `Loadout-0.6.2.dmg`, drag Loadout to Applications, open it. Installed copies update themselves. **Fixed** - The "Something went wrong … plugin.json couldn't be opened" dialog that kept coming back. Codex installs connector plugins such as Slack and Google Calendar without a `plugin.json`, because they have no skills — only their MCP server. Loadout now lists them with no skills and no dialog, and shows a diagnostic once per session rather than on every reload. Thanks to @mkhalila for the report (#12).
