How to install LlamaBarn on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for LlamaBarn and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.44.0 from ggml-org's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to LlamaBarn show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Llama.dmg (1.2 MB).

What is new in LlamaBarn 0.44.0

Llama now runs decision models. Instead of chatting, they answer a typed question with a probability for each option, through the server's `/v1/systemone` endpoint. They carry a Decision chip, and their model page links to a guide on how to use them.

- Download DFlash draft heads when available: up to 50% faster than MTP
- Update the engine to b11429, switching right away when no model is loaded
- Merge the Downloads and Command settings tabs into a new Advanced tab
- Rename the Web UI settings tab to Chat and its setting to custom web app
- Open the quick prompt without bringing Settings to the front
