How to install LaunchNext on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for LaunchNext and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 2.4.2 from RoversX's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to LaunchNext show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: LaunchNext2.4.2.zip (6.2 MB).

LaunchNext 2.4.2 is a major visual, interaction, and reliability update for macOS 26 and newer.

This release introduces image backgrounds, Liquid Glass folders, smoother folder interactions, CJK transliteration search, Show in Layout, Folder Quick Launch, expanded window controls, improved input settings, and signed and notarized distribution.
