About Latest

A small utility app for macOS that makes sure you know about all the latest updates to the apps you use.

How to install Latest on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Latest and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.11 from mangerlahn's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Latest show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Latest.dmg (3.8 MB).

What is new in Latest 0.11

#### New features
- Select custom locations to check for apps
- Latest now clearly distinguishes between apps with full support and those with limited support. The latter are not shown by default, but can be enabled in Settings.
- Added an Open action to the File menu. (thanks @Recouse!)

#### Fixes
- Fixed a hang when opening other apps from Latest (thanks @cprecioso!)
- Fixed a crash when open Latest without having a working internet connection
- Attempt to fix issues with Latest showing no apps at all
- Ensures Latest correctly restores its window size and position

Please note that the minimum supported OS version is now macOS 10.15 Catalina.
