How to install Knopo on a Mac
- Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
- Search for Knopo and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.8.0 from alkalim's own GitHub release.
- Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.
Updates to Knopo show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Knopo-0.8.0-macos-arm64.zip (4.3 MB).
What is new in Knopo 0.8.0
PDF imports and Quick Look, with embedded tables and editing refinements. **New** - Drag or paste PDFs from Finder to add them to your notes with a first-page preview. - Right-click an image or PDF preview to use Quick Look, open it in its default app, or reveal it in Finder. Pages also have a Reveal in Finder action. - Select blocks and press `Space` to preview their images and PDFs in Quick Look. - Tables now display properly inside page and block embeds. **Improved** - Images and PDF previews use less memory when the same file appears in several places. - Pasting a copied page or block reference into an embed placeholder fills it without doubling the brackets. - Links and sidebar text are easier to read in dark mode. **Fixes** - Drag and drop keeps working after the first drop. - Importing a symlink copies the file's contents into the graph instead of leaving a link to an outside file. - Tabs keep the correct labels when several graphs share a window. - Table borders and colored backgrounds have enough padding to avoid clipping. --- ### Opening Knopo the first time Knopo has an ad-hoc code signature, but it isn't signed with a Developer ID certificate or notarized. Gatekeeper may block a downloaded copy.
