What is new in KiwiDesk 2.2.0
**KiwiDesk is built in free time and is free to use for everyone.**

## Highlights
KiwiDesk 2.2.0 is about speed: Spaces, focus and startup no longer wait on a slow app, and Space switches now slide past in a snappy 300 ms.
### Spotlight
- **Keeps up under load** — A Space switch now makes a third of the accessibility calls it did in 2.1.1. {symbol:gauge.with.dots.needle.67percent}
- **Space switches slide** — The Space you leave and the one you pick glide past on plates with each app's icon, in 300 ms. {setting:settings.animations.onSpaceChange} {symbol:rectangle.on.rectangle}
- **Windows on hover** — Rest the pointer on an app in the bars to list its windows, then click one to go there. {symbol:list.bullet.rectangle}
- **Layers per profile** — Choose which profiles a keyboard layer belongs to. {setting:config.layers[].reach} {symbol:keyboard}
### New
- **Space switches now slide:** the Space you leave and the one you
pick glide past together on plates showing each app's icon, on by
default at 300 ms, also in profiles saved before 2.2.0, since the
old setting moved the windows themselves. KiwiDesk comes
