About Engram
One shared memory for all your AIs — a local-first, native macOS memory layer (MCP).
How to install Engram on a Mac
- Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
- Search for Engram and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.1.0 from albertofettucini's own GitHub release.
- Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.
Updates to Engram show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Engram-0.1.0.zip (3.4 MB).
What is new in Engram 0.1.0
Engram 0.1.0 — one shared, local memory for your AIs. **Install** - Homebrew (CLI + MCP server): `brew install albertofettucini/engram/engram` - Or download `Engram-0.1.0.zip` below, unzip, drag to Applications, then right-click → Open (unsigned app). The `.app` is unsigned (no paid Apple cert); the CLI binaries are universal (Apple Silicon + Intel). See the README for connecting the memory to Claude via `engram-mcp --connect`.
