Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: DropNote-v2.9.1.zip (1.6 MB).

What is new in DropNote 2.9.1

DropNote v2.9.1 is a bug-fix release. It removes a crash that could hit you mid-sentence, makes the note tabs readable when you have more than a handful, and puts the popover and the notes window on the same page — literally.

# What's Fixed

## The Typing Crash

- **Fixed a crash while typing after adding or deleting notes** — the editor used to hold on to a note's *position* in the list. Adding, deleting, pinning or reordering notes shifted everything underneath it, so the next keystroke could write to a slot that no longer existed and take the app down with "Index out of range"
- **The editor now addresses notes by identity**, so a note that moves or disappears can't drag the editor with it

## Finding Your Way Around the Tabs

- **The active tab always scrolls into view** — switch notes, create one, or delete one, and the tab you're working on stays visible instead of hiding off-screen
- **The active tab is unmistakable** — accent color, semibold label, and an underline
- **A horizontal scrollbar** under the tab strip, visible as long as there's more to scroll and draggable to move through the tabs
- **Edge fades** on whichever side still has tabs hidden
- **A counter chip** showing your position and the total (`3/12`), which opens into a jump-to menu for every note
