How to install DockFinity on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for DockFinity and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.0.6 from nick-friedrich's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to DockFinity show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Dockfinity_1.0.6.dmg (2.3 MB).

## 1.0.6

- Added Dock refresh transaction safeguards so failed dockutil reads no longer wipe existing profiles
- Preserved Dock section metadata when duplicating profiles or adding folders, preventing misplaced Dock items
- Surfaced persistence errors in the UI to make failures actionable instead of silently discarding data
- Introduced JSON backup/export plus restore flow (Settings → Backup & Restore) so users can archive profiles anywhere
- Backup restores now replace the SwiftData store transactionally and re-select the default profile to avoid mismatched state
