How to install ClaudeCodeNotify on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for ClaudeCodeNotify and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.5.0 from narlei's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to ClaudeCodeNotify show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

### What's New in 1.4.0

**💻 Universal app — now runs on Intel Macs and macOS 12 (Monterey).**

- **Runs on Intel** — the app now ships as a **Universal binary**, running natively on both **Intel** and **Apple Silicon**. No Rosetta needed.
- **macOS 12 Monterey supported** — the minimum is now **macOS 12** (previously macOS 13+), so older Macs are welcome.
- **Open at Login everywhere** — uses the modern `SMAppService` on macOS 13+ and a LaunchAgent fallback on macOS 12, so auto-start works on every supported version.

**ClaudeCodeNotify** is a macOS menu bar app that pops a floating notification when **Claude Code** needs you — when it asks for permission, goes idle waiting for input, or finishes a task. Press **Enter** and it jumps you straight to the terminal where Claude is running (Ghostty, iTerm, Terminal, Cursor, VS Code…). It's a *notifier, not a gatekeeper* — nothing is blocked.
