How to install Claude Usage Monitor on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Claude Usage Monitor and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 2.2.1 from theDanButuc's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Claude Usage Monitor show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

## What's new in v2.2.1

### Hourly update checks
The app now checks for new versions every hour while running — not just at launch. If a new version drops while you're working, the update banner appears automatically.

### In-app download + install
The old "View Release" button is replaced with a proper download flow:
1. Click **Update Now** — the DMG downloads in the background with a progress bar
2. Click **Open & Install** when the download is complete — Finder opens the DMG
3. Drag ClaudeUsageMonitor to Applications — done

No external dependencies. No Sparkle. Pure URLSession.
