How to install Claude Usage on a Mac
- Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
- Search for Claude Usage and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 0.4.1 from Bread-bang's own GitHub release.
- Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.
Updates to Claude Usage show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: ClaudeUsage-0.4.1.zip (2.6 MB).
What is new in Claude Usage 0.4.1
### Changed - **Bar colors follow percentages again.** 0.4.0 colored usage bars by the server's `severity`, but the server reports "normal" well past 50% (observed at 67%), so the yellow/red warnings effectively never showed. Bars are back to the local thresholds: green below 50%, yellow from 50%, red from 80%. **Install/upgrade:** `brew upgrade --cask claude-usage` (after the cask bump lands), or grab the notarized zip below.
