How to install Abendrot on a Mac

  1. Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
  2. Search for Abendrot and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 1.1.3 from matthewrball's own GitHub release.
  3. Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.

Updates to Abendrot show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.

Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: Abendrot-1.1.3.dmg (8.8 MB).

What is new in Abendrot 1.1.3

Cozy Mode now lets you adjust warmth in Manual mode without the slider jumping back to maximum. The Cozy toggle is also available directly in the Manual menu.

Your normal Manual warmth returns when Cozy is turned off, and Cozy adjustments are remembered across mode changes and app restarts.

Requires macOS 12 Monterey or later.
