About AutoBrew
Native macOS app for Homebrew: background auto-updates, a full Brew GUI for browsing and installing casks, and an AppSnapshot engine for backing up and migrating app data across Macs.
How to install AutoBrew on a Mac
- Get OpenDMG. It is a free app store for open source Mac apps. Download OpenDMG.
- Search for AutoBrew and press Get. OpenDMG downloads version 2.5.2 from marcelrgberger's own GitHub release.
- Open it. The download is checked against its SHA-256 fingerprint and its signature is checked on your Mac before it lands in Applications.
Updates to AutoBrew show up in OpenDMG and install with one button. No account is needed.
Prefer to do it by hand? The developer's file is on GitHub: AutoBrew.dmg (5.1 MB).
What is new in AutoBrew 2.5.2
## AutoBrew v2.5.2 Download `AutoBrew.dmg`, open it, and drag AutoBrew to Applications. ### Removed - **Dead code cleanup.** Three internal symbols had accumulated without callers and were removed: `AppLogger` utility (every consumer instantiates `Logger(subsystem:category:)` directly), `DoctorReport.Severity.other` enum case (never assigned, never matched), and `RestoreWizardStore.sourceURL` + `RestoreWizardStore.restoreList` stored properties (write-only — assigned during bundle load, never read). No behaviour change — pure code-hygiene patch.
